Bursor & Fisher Appointed Interim Class Counsel in Time Warner Cable TCPA Lawsuit
On December 15, 2016, Judge J. Paul Oetken of the Southern District of New York appointed Bursor & Fisher, P.A. as interim class counsel in a pending class action against Time Warner Cable, Inc. brought under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. Judge Oetken noted that Bursor & Fisher has been appointed “lead or co-lead class counsel in two of the largest classes ever certified” and that it is “eminently qualified to represent a class in this type of litigation.” Bursor & Fisher’s “submissions thus far have been of high quality and their advocacy has been vigorous,” the Court added.
“We are pleased that Judge Oetken has recognized our firm’s qualifications and entrusted us with an important role in protecting the class’s interests in this case,” said Bursor & Fisher partner Joshua D. Arisohn.
