June 8, 2011 Bursor & Fisher, P.A. Appointed Interim Class Counsel in Michaels Stores PIN Pad Data Security Breach Lawsuit On June 8, 2011, Judge Charles P. Kocoras of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois appointed Bursor & Fisher, P.A. to serve as Interim Class Counsel in Ramundo v. Michaels Stores, Inc., to represent a proposed nationwide class of consumers who made in-store purchases at Michaels using a debit or credit card and had their private financial information stolen as a result. The lawsuit alleges that Michaels Stores failed to secure and safeguard its customers' personal financial data, including credit and debit card information and PIN numbers.
