August 5, 2011 Bursor & Fisher, P.A. Files FOIA Lawsuit Against FCC Related to Clients' Opposition of Proposed Merger of AT&T and T-Mobile On August 5, 2011, Bursor & Fisher, P.A. sued the Federal Communications Commission ("FCC") pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act to obtain critical market concentration information to assist clients in opposing the proposed $39 billion takeover of T-Mobile by AT&T. Bursor & Fisher requested the market concentration information from the FCC on behalf of clients who oppose the proposed takeover through an FCC proceeding, see FCC WT Docket No. 11-65. After the FCC denied the request, the firm sued the FCC in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, seeking a court order requiring the FCC to disclose the information.
