Dear Client:
If you are receiving this email, you have retained our law firm, Bursor & Fisher, P.A., to bring claims against Uber for failing to disclose restaurants’ addresses in Uber Eats delivery requests.
Please review the below information carefully – in particular the “What Do I Need To Do Next?” Section, which covers the next steps required for us to move forward with your claims.

What is this case about?

New York City law requires Uber to show you the address of the restaurant where you’re picking up the food BEFORE you accept the order. Uber did not do this for deliveries in New York City between April 22, 2022 and July 31, 2023. The law says that damages equal $200 for every trip where you were not shown an address before accepting the trip.

Please note that we cannot guarantee that we will win. But we believe in the merits of the claims and are working hard to secure the money for you.

What is my claim worth?

We are seeking $200 for every delivery you made in New York City between April 22, 2022 and July 31, 2023. For example, if you made 100 deliveries during this period, we will seek $20,000 from Uber on your behalf. As a reminder, our representation is free of charge – we only get paid if you do. You will never be responsible to pay us or anyone else in connection with this claim.

How Can I Check How Many Deliveries I Made During That Time?

Here is a link on Uber’s website which includes instructions to look up your delivery history.

What Do I Need To Do Next

In order to move forward, you must first schedule a 15-minute “informal dispute resolution conference” that will be attended by Uber, you, and us.  This is a requirement from your contract with Uber.  We cannot move forward with your claim until you first attend a conference.  Once you schedule your slot, we will send you an email with materials to prepare you for the conference.  You are not required to do or say anything at the conference.  All that is required is your attendance.
